Love and Psychosis, Is there a corellation?

Over the years of counselling singles, I have seen people in relationships that end in marriage and those that didn’t. The interesting features about these relationships is the feeling that both parties share. To some, the feeling is magical, as to few, it’s progressive and grew overtime.

The relationships that easily go down the drain with the resultant heart break are usually the ones who experience love in a magical manner. They often end up with messed up lives, which takes months and sometimes years before they can put their lives together again. Women especially in these relationships some times attempt suicide, while some end in psychiatric hospitals all around the world.

Is there are a corellation between love and madness? Over the years, I have concluded there isn’t. when love is view from a balanced point of view as a feeling that grows progressively; however, there is a corellation between madness and spontenous and eratic feeling that comes from unchecked and ignorant expression of how one feelings without taking time out to get to know a person before allowing intimacy in the relationship.

If you study a person who is suffering from psychosis and a person that has allowed the magical feeling be the determinant in going into a relationship, you will discover that both of them live in a world of their own. To the one suffering from psychosis, he’s right, and no one can ever prove him wrong. Try counselling singles who have the magicla feeling they call love; what you will of notice is that your advise will be like throwing balls on the wall. It will bounce back at you. So I am not surprise when some of this singles become suicidal and end in psychiatric hospital when the relationship fails.
